Website Release

Posted by Elsabe on September 23, 2011

Finally, the Lessink website is released! Welcome!

After months of fiddling, I've finally taken the big step of releasing this site into the wild. To be honest, I still feel it's not quite ready, there are still tons of things I want to add and improve, but as it stands now, the really important bits are done. I know a few freelancers that have exactly the same problem. Where else do you have the freedom to make a website with no real restrictions? Let the awesome, gimmicky features flow!

You should, however, know when to say “That's enough”. Any artist would tell you that you can work on a painting indefinitely, the real trick is in knowing when to stop. In the world of web design and development there is something new almost every day. This makes it very easy to go crazy! Luckily, unlike a priceless piece of art, its easy enough to update a website regularly. And in the end that is the solution, release a site with the most important functions intact and add updates as you go along. It's more important to have a simpler website up and running than a bleeding edge website sitting in your development environment! Well that's my rant about awesome unfinished websites!

Expect some regular changes, and hopefully some useful blogs on PHP, Python, Linux and anything else I've been dabbling with.

Welcome to the adventure.
